In the directed study program, we read through all of the Sacred Scriptures and students are asked to write weekly summaries of their readings. A few notes about these summaries:
- A summary should be now more than 2 pages, typed. The objective of the assignment is to force the student to decide what is most important in the reading and limit his summary to those points. Writing too much is usually the result of not enough thought and writing to little is usually the result of not enough study.
- The student should summaries the most important historical details of the reading, in chronological order.
- The student should identify and follow themes that run throughout the Scriptures.
